Students of Osun State Univeristy took to the streets in the early hours of the day to protest after officials of the Economkic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) arrested some students including a lecturer over alleged financial crimes.
Our correspondent reports that about 35 students were arrested after some hostes were raided by the armed opperatives.
The main hostels that were raided includes Intergrity, Brick Mansion and Citadel Hostels.
These hostels are private hostels built outside the school and in the vicinity of Osogbo Campus.
Meanwhile, a lecturer in the Department of Anatomy was also arrested alongside the students. The protesting students claimed that most of the arrested are innocent of the crime alleged.
Our correspondent on campus revealed that the arrested Lecturer might be freed as he was believed to have been arrested because of his usual manners of dressing and apperance.
Those arrested were said to have been taken away to Iband Office of the Commision.
